Customer Service Representative

 Job Summary

DPI Specialty Foods, the Northwest's leading specialty foods distributor, currently seeks a Customer Service Representative to provide support to our Inside Sales team at our Tualatin, OR office. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for receiving and processing/editing orders for Retail and Inside Sales staff. 

Schedule is Monday - Friday 8-5

 Requirements
  • 2 year degree or equivalent; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years related experience required.
  • Experience in the food industry is a plus!
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to be on the phone for long periods of time.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Must pass background check and drug screen.
Essential duties and responbilities include the following
  • Receive and process/edit orders.
  • Process special item orders.
  • Provide assistance to retail sales staff.
  • Assist customers and provide information regarding prices, shipping dates or anticipated delays, out of stocks, and suggestive sales.
  • Assist customers with will-call orders.
  • Recommend substitute items for out of stock items.
  • Work closely with warehouse personnel, drivers, and buyers.
  • Sort and file miscellaneous paperwork.

Pay starts at $12 per hour.
