Director Enterprise Projects

 Job Summary

DPI Specialty Foods, a market leader in the food distribution industry, currently has an opening for an experienced Director Enterprise Projects.

Candidates for this role must have a very strong Oracle apps background, with strong business and technical skills. The candidate must be able to roll up the sleeves and dig into issues, develop and implement working plans, design solutions and work with both onshore and offshore team members. A good candidate will have worked in various team lead roles, and optimally as an Oracle solutions architect at some point in their career. They should understand the Oracle e-Business Suite, front and back – not just one element. DPI has implemented a foot print that includes all Oracle EBS modules, from Sales (OM, Pricing, TM, OIC) to Ops (WMS, MSCE, Inventory); the Manager would be responsible for this foot print and supervising the various teams that support it.

 Requirements
  • Manage multiple, large, complex projects to successful implementation as determined by project scope, budget, timeliness and meeting of stated business objectives;
  • Have an expert understanding of Oracle eBusiness Suite and its associated technologies, both technically and functionally;
  • Direct resources and provide direct support of Oracle solutions and technologies, the implementation of technologies and the development of new business solutions;
  • Have an expert understanding of industry best practices relating to information systems and the implementation of business technology solutions;
  • Be responsible for performance, cost, scope, schedule, quality, and appropriate business measurements of projects;
  • Lead a team of project resources, project leads, business leads and other project managers both internal and external in initiating, planning, controlling, executing, and closing tasks of a project (or segment of a project) to produce the required deliverables;
  • Manage and execute a wide range of process activities beginning with feasibility analysis through development, test, and final delivery;
  • Provide task direction to project staff and suppliers/vendors;
  • Foster team development to achieve goals by coaching and performance management;
  • Responsible for education and knowledge transfer on ‘best practice’ technologies and the implementation of such technologies in support of project objectives.
  • BA/BS degree in MIS or related field required
