Forklift Operator/Reach Truck Operator

 Job Summary

Operate forklift to move product, equipment, or materials.

 Requirements
  • Must have at least one year experience operating a forklift. Forklift certification preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to work in a temperature controlled environment (dry/cooler/freezer).
  • Basic communication and reading skills in English, as well as basic mathematic skills.
  • Must be able to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must pass background check and drug screen.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to work standing for duration of 8-10 hour shift.
  • Continual hand and eye coordination to operate forklift and or RF system.
  • Ability to judge which of several objects is closer or farther away or to judge the distance between you and an object.
  • Ability to quickly move hand, hand together with you arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Essential duties and responbilities include the following
  • Operate forklift. Rotate product using oldest code/expiration date.
  • Move levers and press pedals to operate forklift and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Operate computerized warehousing system (radio-frequency based system).
  • Put away pallets after receipt at warehouse.
  • Unload and stack material by raising and lowering forklift.
  • Replenish product in warehouse slots.
  • Inventory material on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
  • Weigh material or product and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
  • Load or unload material onto or off of pallets, skids, or forklift.

Compensation: Starting at $11.95 with an additional $0.75 forklift premium. Additional $0.50 shift premium for swing shift.
