Inside Sales Representative

DPI Specialty Foods, the Northwest's leading specialty food distributor, currently seeks an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join the Seatac Perishable Food Sales Team on a full-time basis. The Inside Sales Representative will receive and process/edit orders for retail sales staff via telephone, fax, and email. Experience in the restaurant or banquet industry is desirable and cheese knowledge is a plus!

• Associates Degree or Equivalent; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of two years related experience required.
• Experience in the food, restaurant, or banquet industry preferred.
• Cheese knowledge is a plus!
• Ability to work acurately in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent phone skills/etiquette.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to be on phone for long periods of time.
• Strong computer skills including 10 key.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Must past background check and drug screen.

• Receive and process orders.
• Process special item orders.
• Provide assistance to retail sales staff.
• Assist customers with will call orders.
• Recommend substitute items for out of stock items.
• Work closely with warehouse personnel, drivers, and buyers.
• Sort and file miscellaneous paperwork.
